ABOUT JANETH
Committed to the people
behind workplace disputes.
Janeth Arias is a founding partner of Blanco & Arias. She helps workers address disputes that affect their livelihoods, from the loss of a job to unequal treatment in the workplace. Her employment practice includes cases involving discrimination and harassment based on race, gender, disability, and other protected characteristics.
Her work across employment law and workers’ compensation gives her a perspective on matters that involve both a workplace injury and a separate dispute with an employer. In a March 2023 article for Plaintiff magazine, she explored how these claims can intersect and why coordination between the two practice areas matters.
Janeth earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, now UC Law San Francisco, in 2009. She graduated cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a concentration in Public Law, and a minor in Spanish.
She is fluent in English and Spanish. Outside her legal practice, Janeth is an avid Dodgers fan.
